Guest Column: Tulane encampment was not a ‘peaceful protest’

When news of the encampment at Tulane University broke, I was quick to visit the site. While some have claimed the protest was entirely peaceful, my firsthand observations tell a different story. As the “peaceful protest” narrative has spread, I cannot stay silent. As the CEO of Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans, the central hub for organized Jewish life in the region, I must speak out.
