Since 1991, Touro Synagogue has been celebrating Jazz Fest in its own special way - with a worship service that combines Judaism and the musical sounds of New Orleans in a seamless, truly unique experience.

Touro Synagogue’s Jazz Fest Shabbat has become such an integral part of the two-week Jazz Fest scene that some of New Orleans’ greatest musicians have played at the service in Touro's historic sanctuary. Guest artists have included Allen Toussaint (with a surprise appearance by his friend, Paul Shaffer), Irma Thomas, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Jon Cleary, Big Chief Bo Dollis and the Wild Magnolias, Marcia Ball, Kermit Ruffins, Jeremy Davenport, Henry Butler, John Boutte and many others. This year, Touro Synagogue is thrilled to welcome James Andrews and the Crescent City All-Stars with their vibrant and celebrational sound.

Like all worship services at Touro Synagogue, Jazz Fest Shabbat is free and open to the public. However, Jazz Fest Shabbat Patrons receive VIP seats for the service, in addition to access to an exclusive concert with James Andrews and the Crescent City All-Stars and an engaging and delicious dinner.

To purchase patron tickets, or for additional information, please contact Touro Synagogue at 504-895-4843 or visit www.tourosynagogue.com.
