Join Beth Israel over Shabbat Zachor as we welcome Yeshivat Maharat student Tanya Farber to our community as a scholar-in-residence.
Friday, March 6th: Tanya will speak over Shabbat Dinner following 6:00 pm services on: "Clothing, Costumes and Treachery.

Saturday morning, March 7th: Tanya will deliver the Shabbat Morning Drasha at approximately 10:45 on "Hidden and Revealed Light"
Saturday evening, March 7th: 6:00 learning with Tanya at Rabbi Josh's house on, "Vashti: Villainess or Heroine", followed by Havdalah at 7:00 pm, followed by a light dinner and an opportunity to speak with Tanya about her experience pursuing spiritual leadership in the Orthodox world.

Tanya Farber has an extensive teaching background across a wide range of ages and settings, from yeshiva high schools to elementary schools and afterschool programs. Tanya emphasizes the dynamic spiritual practices of middot, respect, listening, generosity, curiosity, leadership and other values as part of classroom culture. On weekends, Tanya works as a supervisor in a shomer Shabbat group home for Jewish women with developmental disabilities.
