Please join the Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans at historic St. Augustine High School for the Federation's second annual Alex Schoenbaum Jewish Scholarship Fund award ceremony and assembly. Several students - out of a pool of over 140 applicants this year - will each be granted a monetary award to go towards his high school tuition; Loyola University New Orleans President Tania Tetlow will be delivering a keynote address; and an interactive discussion will be held with the student applicants on Jewish/African-American and multi-faith relationships, led by Touro Synagogue Rabbi Katie Bauman and the St. Augustine campus ministers.

The Alex Schoenbaum Jewish Scholarship Fund is generously sponsored by Emily Schoenbaum in memory of her father, an all-American football player at Ohio State and the founder of the Shoney's restaurant chain.
