Come Make a Home at Temple Sinai
Founded in 1870 as the first Reform Jewish Congregation in New Orleans, Temple Sinai’s pre-eminence is attributed to its outstanding rabbinic and professional leadership, its energetic and hard-working lay
leaders, its noteworthy membership and its wide range of congregational and broader community activities.
Worship Services for the Sabbath, Festivals and Holy Days, education programs for children and adults, cultural activities, and consecrated burial grounds are integral parts of the Temple’s service for its members.
Temple Sinai offers its members excellent Jewish educational opportunities including a Sunday Religious School for pre-K through Confirmation, a Mid-Week Hebrew School for those in preparation for Bar or Bat Mitzvah, Adult Hebrew and B’nai Mitzvah classes as well as dynamic and varied adult education courses throughout the year.
Temple Auxiliaries, such as the Sisterhood, Brotherhood, and Youth Group, add marvelous opportunities for participation in Temple life, enabling our members of all generations to become well acquainted with one another.
Those who may be interested in affiliating with our Temple family are encouraged to call the Temple office at 504-861-3693. We warmly welcome your inquiry.
