Letters: No place for anti-semitism in New Orleans

New Orleans is a place where people honor humanity in one another, celebrating unique expressions of life. Laissez le bon temps rouler; let the good times roll. Yes, we revel and do it up big, but more remarkably, New Orleans stands out for its unity, especially in the face of tragedy. Diverse communities mingle in the streets during festivals and parades, setting aside our differences to honor our rich histories.

There is no place for hate in our home.

You may have seen the billboards from the Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans sharing the message, “No Hate in Our Home.” The Jewish people understand the destructive power of hate, which pits neighbors against one another and erodes civility. New Orleans is better than this.
