Like so many of us, our hearts were broken on October 7. The horrendous images from Israel filled our hearts with sorrow and grief.  We are united against the evil of barbarism, against Hamas’ monstrous barbarism, against the unprovoked massacre of the innocents. 

Let us continue to send strength Israel’s way. Let us show them and the entire world that New Orleans stands by Israel’s right to defend itself and protect the precious lives of its citizens. 

Let us not forget October 7. 

The Jewish Federation of Greater New Orleans stands united with our Israeli brothers and sisters and is here to serve our community as we struggle to make sense of these dark days.

We:

• Raised over $2.4M for our Israel Emergency Fund
• Sent a mission and delegations to Israel
• Hosted our Rosh Ha’Ayin partners in New Orleans
• Provide(d) opportunities to meet and learn with active-duty IDF soldiers, 10/7 survivors, and to dialogue as a community regarding the complexities of the war.
